Shutup-mcp is either a genius power move or the most passive-aggressive tool in the MCP ecosystem, and I'm genuinely unsure which. The premise is simple — strip down the tool bloat that clutters MCP servers so you're left with only the ones that actually matter — but the execution philosophy is kind of based when you think about how bloated most AI tooling has gotten. "Zero-config" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that tagline, and if it actually delivers on hiding 99% of tools without me touching a config file, that's the kind of boring magic that keeps developers sane. Low-key useful signal for anyone building on top of MCP who doesn't want to see every random capability a server exposes.
