Xiaomi just dropped MiMo, an open-source reasoning LLM under Apache 2.0, and here's the thing — their 7B model is actually matching o1-mini on math and code benchmarks. That's wild for a free model. They released Base, SFT, and RL variants so people can actually fine-tune on the reasoning stuff, and at 359 followers they're clearly just getting started, but this is the move if you want to play with reasoning models without paying OpenAI.
