Our Take

ClaudeShare solves a problem everyone with Claude Code has stared at: that "you've hit your limit" message at 11:59pm. Instead of letting that $100/month subscription sit idle, this CLI tool lets you securely share it with friends—no weird workarounds, no account compromises.

Three commands. That's it. Install via npm, run claude-share to generate a pairing link, your friend runs claude-connect, and they're in. The smart part: the architecture never exposes your actual access token to their machine. It runs a local proxy on your side that routes traffic through Claude's API with your credentials injected server-side. Your machine controls everything—if you quit the CLI, they lose access instantly. They've thought this through. There's even a built-in MITM terminator that enforces TLS for every request.

It's open source under MIT license, works on macOS and Linux, and there's an experimental bore.pub tunnel mode for remote sharing beyond your LAN. Is it technically a workaround for Claude Code's per-seat pricing? Absolutely. Does that make it genius? Also absolutely. You're not hacking anything—you're just not letting idle seats waste money. The warning says it plain: "only share with people you fully trust" because yes, the proxy could theoretically intercept messages if someone wanted to get sketchy. But for teams or close friends running legitimate collaborative workflows, this is exactly the tool the system should have shipped with.
