AgentRail

A local control plane for AI coding agents Discussion | Link

Our Take

AI coding agents are getting terrifyingly good at writing code. The problem? Everything around code delivery is still broken. Picking tickets, watching CI, incorporating review feedback, merging when ready—the full loop is a mess. So AgentRail built the control plane that makes agents actually closers, not just Writers.

Right now AgentRail's open beta shows 41 active tickets moving through intake, route, claim, review, and ship. One agent's migrating an auth handler to v2 API, another's fixing flaky tests in checkout, a third is adding Linear webhooks for billing. Twelve agents running live, managing the complete lifecycle from ticket to merge. It connects directly to GitHub, Linear, and CircleCI—so agents aren't just coding, they're navigating the real dev workflow.

Three big problems fixed. First: lifecycle management. No more context loss between turns, no retrying wrong commits, no re-asking answered questions. AgentRail tracks state across the entire issue → PR → merge loop. Second: security. Instead of handing devs' full-repo-scope PATs to every agent, there's per-agent scoped auth with audit trails. Third: CI feedback. Test failures aren't walls of text anymore—they're structured signals agents can actually reason over.

It's local-first, source-available with a custom license, and runs on your own keys. TypeScript and Python SDKs included. Cloud option too if you want managed. For teams running coding agents at scale, this is the infrastructure that turns "it writes code sometimes" into "it closes tickets reliably."

Source-available means it's built to be inspected, modified, and run entirely on your infrastructure. Build it yourself or use their cloud. Either way, the agent loop finally works.
